The Global Social Change Film Festival and Institute (GSCFFI) supports filmmakers to be effective social activists and support social activists to be engaging storytellers.

Over 4 days of films, panels, workshops, selected shorts and special events, GSCFFI aims to inspire and build a global community focused on expanding the reach of conscious social change film and media.

A founding member of the Haiti Christian Missionary Support Group, Ty Lawson was a recipient of the GSCFFI Fellowship. The support group provides healthcare and clean drinking water to thousand of people in the village of Cabaret, traveling to Haiti twice a year to run medical supplies. As an international media producer Ty hopes to shed some light on the stories of the people who are often ignored and neglected. But Ty would also like to devote his talent to make a gumbo variety of films.
