Alumna Adeline Foo initiates Alumni Collaboration

Alumna Adeline Foo ’11 (MFA, Kanbar, Dramatic Writing) is currently working on adapting her successful series of picture books, Diary of Amos Lee, into a television program. In an interview with Paper Tigers, a website about books in English for the young, Adeline reveals her career as a writer, her experience in writing books for the young, her time at Tisch Asia and her future plans to work with fellow alumni from Tisch and the Animation and Digital Arts Department at Tisch Asia.

A quote from Phillip Lim, Executive Producer/Director of Woosh Pictures.

"I was already working with Adeline on the TV adaptation of her books when I asked her whether there are any good writers that I have not heard of. She mentioned Philip Leung, her course mate in the Dramatic Writing programme. And since there are lots of animation sequences in the show, I asked whether she knows of any good animators. She recommended Jeremy, Ishaan and Sandhya, her course mates from the Animation and Digital Arts programme. I'm now in pre production and I'm impressed with their work and ideas. It is fresh and yet disciplined, obviously going through the Tisch programme helps."
