New Media track / Production

The goal of this class is to explore, design and produce interactive content for children. Each project will be educational and entertaining and will follow the child’s developmental stages. Students will write a concept for the project, create a unique design that stimulates the child’s imagination and develop an interactive device that allows a simple communication between device and child. Students can work in teams or on their own. Students will discover the process of planning the design of a project. They will evaluate its educational value, design characters and produce animated segments and finally integrating them into a demo of the interactive device. The final project will be a working demo and a portfolio that presents the project and it’s development.
